This splendid Victorian tidal swimming pool opened to the public on 22 May 1895. Replenished by the sea at each tide, the pool is popular with families in the summer months. Accessible all year round, lifeguards are on duty from May until October. It’s free to enter, and changing facilities and a small café are available.

The Botanic Gardens at Samarès Manor
Visit the different gardens and plant collections of the Botanic Gardens at Samarès Manor. Created in the 1920s by Sir James Knott, the gardens have undergone further development with the addition of many new and interesting plant collections. You can explore the manor house between April and October.
The Channel Island Military Museum

Jersey Zoo
The world’s first conservation zoo, Jersey Zoo was opened in 1959 by naturalist Gerald Durrell. Home to several critically endangered species, including Sumatran orangutans, western lowland gorillas and giant tortoises, the Zoo also serves as the headquarters for the Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust.
