Walks in Jersey
At a compact nine by five miles in size, Jersey is perfect for exploring on foot. If you’re feeling adventurous, the whole island is small enough to walk around in four days and, for more manageable expeditions, you’ll find over 500 miles of well-trodden paths covering coast, cliffs and countryside.
We’ve put together some of the most popular walks in Jersey for you to discover during your stay.
The Ommaroo Hotel Walk
Kindly collated by local history enthusiast, Adrian Light, the Ommaroo Hotel Walk takes visitors on a whistle-stop tour of the surrounding Havre des Pas area, introducing you to some significant events in Jersey’s history, works by one of the Island’s most famous architects, and one of France’s greatest writers.

The walk can be broken up into long but manageable sections: St Helier to La Pulente, La Pulente to Grève de Lecq, Grève de Lecq to Rozel and Rozel to St Helier. Of course, you can join the Trail at any point; the walks around St Aubin’s Bay and St Ouen’s Bay are easy walks with spectacular scenery and plenty of places to refuel.
